Founded in the twelfth century by Cistercian monks, Clos de Vougeot is unquestionably the most extensive vineyard Grands Crus of Burgundy. It is still fully walled. It takes its name from the river that runs through the village: the Vouge.
Our plot is located in the southern part of the Clos. The conditions are excellent for quality viticulture. The vines are based on limestone gravel from the slopes of the Combe d'Orveau. It is brown limestone soils, rich in clay elements.
A wine representative of the splendor of a Clos de Vougeot to taste with a charolais beef paste confit in red wine sauce.
