Vosne would be a derivative of "Vidumos" which means Forest. It is said that the Gauls who had enlisted for twenty years by Caesar were rewarded with a vineyard of gift that the following generations would have called "Romanée".
"Aux Champs Perdrix" was formerly a dry hillside, stony and bushy. The vineyards lie on a sandy soil surface, but the rock is nearby.
This wine will taste perfectly with roasted red meats.
