Located south of Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is the first village in the Côte de Nuits. It is by the Louis Philippe's royal ordinance in 1847 that the term Chambertin is associated with Gevrey to become officially Gevrey-Chambertin. The plot is located below the Route des Grands Crus, near Brochon.
Vines aged over 60 years, are planted on a gravelly ground and are surrounded by a wall that captures heat and protects the fruit.
To be served with a pavement of venison for example.
