Frédéric Magnien
Frédéric Magnien is the 5th generation winemaker of the Magnien family. He first devoted himself to the Michel Magnien Domaine in Morey-Saint-Denis, working alongside his father from 1987-1991. Fréderic flew away to work abroad in order to extend his knowledge and fulfil his passion. He began in California and then worked in Australia. Back home for the 1993 grape-harvest, at Michel Magnien Domaine, he enrolled at the University of Bourgogne where he obtained his degree in Oenology. In September 1995 he made one of the most important decisions of his life : he created a winemaking business under his own name based on grape buying.
CHAMBERTIN CLOS DE BEZE Grand Cru 2018
Frédéric Magnien continues his approach to growing up part of his terracotta jar vintages with one objective : to reduce the woody note of his wines. With this Clos-de-Bèze, it offers a great vintage very harmonious and imbued with a touch of fresh floral. The nose also develops notes of cherry and blackcover. The mouth combines volume, length and elegance.
